DE WET CELLAR

De Wet Cellar, founded on 15 April 1946, is the oldest co-operative cellar in the Worcester Wine Ward, originally producing about 3 000 tons of grapes per annum. It has since developed into a quality processing cellar of around 22 000 tons per year.

De Wet Cellar is situated next to the N1, North of Worcester when driving from Cape Town to the Northern parts of South Africa. Make it a must-stop, so you can take pleasure in the newly renovated tasting lounge while buying your favourite wine and enjoying a cup of our Winemakers Selection Roasted Coffee.

The De Wet Cellar brand is growing from strength to strength each year and the wines are performing on the Showcase stage around the country. The popular De Wet Chenin Blanc 2020 won the prestigious Veritas double gold medal.

De Wet Cellar’s core business is supplying to wholesale markets both locally and internationally, and they are the major shareholder in the export company First Cape Vineyards which sells its brand mainly through UK Supermarkets.
